Let us guide you through your language journey

Are you looking for a reputable place to learn Dutch or enhance your proficiency? Since 2003 we provide Dutch language courses in Singapore and abroad.

Your purpose of learning Dutch

The reason why you visit this website could be that:

1. You need to apply for a MVV (a permit for temporary stay in The Netherlands, required before you will receive a visa for 5 years, called ‘VVR’) and you are seeking professional training in order to pass the Basic Civic Integration Exam Abroad.

2. You are engaged / married to a Dutch or Belgian partner, and your aim is to be able to speak Dutch with your in-laws and spouse.

3. You have been studying Dutch before, and you would like to maintain or further improve your Dutch language skills and proceed to the next NT2 level.

4. You are going to study or work in The Netherlands or Belgium. Its a good idea to learn how to speak some Dutch before you travel to Europe, because you will enjoy your stay so much more, and you will be really independent once you are able to converse in Dutch!

5. You are working for a Dutch or Belgian company, located in Singapore, or you are dealing with companies in Holland or Belgium. Therefore, you have a keen interest in learning how to converse and correspond in Dutch.

6. You aim to move from Singapore to Holland or Belgium, and you like to prepare yourself well for that.

For all of these purposes, you will find more information on this website. We are dedicated to help you all the way to reach your goal.

CEFR

Certified classes

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an internationally recognised guideline for evaluating language proficiency of individuals across European languages. It divides language proficiency into six levels, from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficient), and provides detailed descriptions of the skills and knowledge required at each level.

The CEFR is used by language learners, educators, and employers to assess and communicate language proficiency in a standardised way. It also provides a framework for creating language learning materials and curricula that align with international standards.

We conduct all of our classes in accordance with the CEFR standards. We are using a range of real Cito NT2 exams of recent years to test our students.

MVV training course

Entry ticket to The Netherlands (MVV)

There are two types of integration exams, which can be confusing: (1) the Basic Civic Integration Exam Abroad (for MVV) and (2) the much more extensive Civic Integration Exam (Inburgeringsexamen for Permanent Residence).

This is how it works: before you can enter The Netherlands on a long-term basis, you must first pass the ‘Basic Civic Integration Exam Abroad’ at the Dutch Embassy in Singapore. Once you have passed your exam, you will get a MVV sticker in your passport, which is just a ticket allowing you to enter The Netherlands, thus it’s not your official visa.

Within 3 working days after arrival, you will need to go to the ‘Vreemdelingenpolitie’ where you will receive your real visa called VVR, which means Verblijfs Vergunning Regulier (Regular Residence Permit for a total of 5 years).

Integration and Naturalisation

Civic Integration Exam / Naturalisation Exam

These are two types of exams for foreign partners moving to the Netherlands. If you plan to stay long-term or become a Dutch citizen, these exams are a must. We can help you get ready for it. The test includes multiple-choice questions and speaking tasks to check how well you know the basics of Dutch. You also need to write some texts, like drafting your opinion about something or write an email with a complaint or instruction.
